Leading on Social Housing

As some visitors may already know, the ODPM wisely suggested that each of the nine regions should lead on a specific Gershon workstream to avoid duplication of effort and provide a better focus for achieving results.

London is leading on Social Housing. This section of our website will emerge over the coming months as a significant repository for information and ideas for driving cashable savings and service improvement efficiencies.

You can also contribute to it by telling us about the progress you are making locally with your Housing Association, ALMO or in-house operation. This can be about such innovative ways of engaging with the market, best value deals negotiated, or just sharing new ideas with other visitors.

The London project being run with six councils / associations is making excellent progress and should be reporting soon. ODPM and OGC are also backing this work which is being coordinated by
E C Harris.
