In April 2008, the London Centre of Excellence merged with London's improvement body - Capital Ambition - and London Connects, to form London's Improvement and Efficiency Partnership (IEP). The new organisation retains the name Capital Ambition, and is responsible for all former LCE projects. To find out more, please see the Capital Ambition website.
A website is being created for the new Capital Ambition, but in the meantime this site continues to be updated with all the latest information on the energy project, as well as important legacy documents.
The LCE ran a series of pan-London and sub-regional projects since the end of 2004. Details of each project, together with contacts can be found at List of Current LCE Project.
Capital Ambition continues to welcome new bids for funding for collaborative projects. Please read the guidance and contact Capital Ambition if you would like an informal chat about whether your idea or new bid would meet the qualification criteria. Clearly, we cannot fund all bids and wish to maximise the chances of success when a new bid is submitted for approval.
All projects need to be properly managed and controlled with a Project Manager in place. They also need to provide proper documentation for audit and control purposes.
Capital Ambition provides a new projects briefing and training service, which explains how the documentation should be used and the roles and responsibilities of individuals involved with the projects.
Training in the basics of project management can be provided by the Capital Ambition Programme Manager Philip Snowling. For further details, please contact: philip.snowling@mouchelparkman.com.
