Tools: Planning Guidance
Most workplace transformation projects will require the need for statutory
planning permission at a defined point in their lifecycle. Clearly,
a workplace
transformation which requires minimal change to the built environment will not
require statutory planning permission. However Councils may be undertaking
substantial workplace change including refurbishments, redevelopments and
alteration works to listed buildings.
For workplace transformation projects that do require statutory
planning guidance the following Planning Process has been produced. This gives a
high level of understanding of the statutory planning process that may be
required as part of the overall project process. Although the tools detailed
below give overarching guidance on the potential planning process required, it
is advised that Councils seek guidance from their internal statutory planning
officers as early in the project lifecycle as is feasible.
