The Wizard addresses a stakeholder’s approach to an accommodation project in several ways:
  • Chronologically i.e. from start to finish
  • The functional support required – property, finance, HR, ICT etc
  • The tools required (process, documentation, best practice guides etc)
  • A library of more detailed information – the Knowledge Portal


These are then brought together in a group of cases studies which highlight some of the issues which Councils have faced, the lessons they have learned and some things that might have done differently. All of the above appear in the toolbar down the left hand side and can be accessed at any time during an online visit. We would encourage that you work through chronologically dipping into the tools, knowledge portal and case studies when the references appear as hypertext links. We would advocate against jumping stages as some of the context will be lost, as will some of the linkages between the sections. We would also emphasize that nobody can be perfect so we will be constantly seeking to improve the site. Consequently we welcome feedback, positive and negative so we can make continuous improvements.
