LB Merton identified that in London 8 years ago there was a huge amount of duplication for London boroughs in health and safety prequalification for both contractors and councils alike. LB Merton developed a common standard for assessment of contractors and this has now been adopted by more than 170 members stretching the length and breadth of Britain.
