The London Centre of Excellence 2007/08 Annual Report: Delivering Results, is available here and hard copies are available from the LCE/Capital Ambition office.
It outlines the highlights of the last three years, from the inception of the LCE to the recent merger with London Connects and Capital Ambition to form London’s Improvement and Efficiency Partnership.
The report outlines the LCE’s financial performance over its lifetime, and charts the increasing engagement from London boroughs since 2005, as well as the outstanding level of participation from people within all 33 London boroughs.
There have been more than 40 LCE-projects, putting the foundations in place for significant savings in London local government in the coming financial years. The report features case studies from some of the award-winning LCE projects and services, as well as a three-year analysis of website use and levels of customer satisfaction.
It also features coverage of LCE-projects in the press and media, as well as an overview of some of the successful project launches and other events that have played an important role in promoting better collaborative working.
Although the report marks the end of the Regional Centres of Excellence, it heralds the dawn of the Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships, which will see this valuable work continue.
The new organisation takes the name of the previous improvement partnership – Capital Ambition – although the LCE website and satellite sites will continue to operate for at least a year, while new designs and infrastructure is put in place. Current LCE projects also continue to deliver savings to London boroughs.
