This section includes a variety of information that will support the implementation of the Local Government Energy Procurement Action Plan. Here you can find:
Throughout the course of the project, a series of workshops have been held to support authorities in the implementation of the action plan. These workshops have provided support on specific sections of the plan that have been identified as areas of need by authorities. Information about any further workshops will be available on the Events page.
Support available to London public sector organisations:
One to one meetings
The project team will meet with your authority to offer targeted support and advice on your specific issues, on anything from energy procurement strategy to implementing e-billing systems. Where we can't offer expertise we will find the right person for you to speak to.
Group workshops
Building on the success of our previous workshops on AMR, Financial Management, and flexible wholesale energy procurement, we plan to organise further events/workshops in 2009. These events provide the opportunity to network with colleagues, share ideas and experience and build knowledge on issues in energy management and procurement.
Providing best practice and sharing information
We will publish examples of good and best practice on our website and share information via newsletters. Officers can use and tailor this information to their organisation - saving time and utilising good practice.
Targeted customer focus groups
We will bring customers together to share common experience. This will co-ordinate the voice of the customer, helping public sector bodies receive better service and value for money from their providers.
