2008 Self Assessment Workshop

A workshop was held on 28th April 2008 at Broadway House in Westminster to enable authorities to find out more about

  • the Local Government Energy Procurement Action Plan and how it could help deliver improvements in authorities
  • undertaking a self assessment against the Action Plan
  • the current status of the project and the wider public agenda
  • a toolkit for quantifying energy procurement savings

The workshop also provided an opportunity for authorities to share their views on what support the project could provide over the coming year.

The workshop was attended by representatives of 23 authorities from London and the Midlands. Joanna Chambers gave a presentation on the Action Plan and led a discussion on how to complete the Self Assessment, Susie Owen from the OGC spoke on the wider public sector energy procurement landscape and the work being done to introduce a new savings toolkit and Michael Wood gave an update on the current status of the project.

Copies of the speakers' presentations are available to download below.
